Following protests, a petition and even alternative images by Diablo II fans at the cartoon-like quality of the initial screenshots released by Blizzard a new set of images has been released baring a striking similarity to the suggested renderings of the protesters.
At Blizzard’s annual Worldwide Invitational the company has announced the future launch of Diablo III only shortly after the announcements of StarCraft 2 and Gas Powered Games’ Dungeon siege 3 with which it is bound to be compared.
Chris Taylor, head of Gas Powered Games and the designer behind Dungeon Siege, has confirmed that Dungeon Siege fans can look forward to Dungeon Siege 3. This announcement came in an exclusive interview with the German branch of Eurogamer.
The enhanced version of Witcher has been promised since the launch of the original version to rave and critical reviews will be available in May and is promised to be “devoid of all of the major criticisms levied at the original release”. Expect bug fixes, enhanced stability and playability improvements.
Secret Level, the San Francisco-based studio working on Golden Axe: Beast Rider has released six screenshots of the upcoming game. The fact that the company is still working on the title at all may come as a surprise to some game enthusiasts as the first announcement of Riders was made back in 2006!
