The Palm Treo 850, following much speculation, is to be launched early next month under the brand name ‘Treo Pro’. The device will be a 3G phone with Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 but is let down by a rather small screen more reminiscent of models from 2006!

Palm yesterday announced the arrival of the Centro, the companies latest entrant into the affordable end of the smart phone market. The phone comes tied to a two-year contract with Sprint. That makes the Centro cheaper than other Palm smart phones and puts it head-to-head with competitors from RIM and Samsung.
