Sony launches shiny DAV-F200 Bravia Home Theatre system

Sony has launched the minimalist DAV-F200 2.1 Home Theatre system boasting of its virtual surround sound system which adds 3D depth to the sound rendition without filling your living room with speakers.

Sony says the surround system will provide:

“…enveloping, rich and detailed virtual surround effects without the need for speakers all around the room.”

The surround technology involved is Sony’s S-Force Front Surround system which is combined with a speaker system bringing a total of 405 Watts (two speakers and a sub-whoofer) to your surprised ear drums. Other outputs include HDMI upscaling to near 1080p, Bravia Sync for a remote control and USB.

The compact disk player plays DVDs, CDs and MP3, WMA, DivX and JPEG file formats among others.

An optional mount is provided so you can mount the system on a wall.
