PS3 goes to fat-camp
February 1st, 2008Perhaps Apple has set a trend with it’s MacBook Air for slimming everything down to its flattest possible profile or perhaps it’s just a general trend which Apple got carried on. Either way Sony has jumped on board as rumours abound regarding a new slim PS3 possibly sporting a new 160 GB hard drive!
Sony has already slimmed down its PSX and PS2 so this would be a logical deduction. A larger hard disk version of the PS3 has been mooted for some time so this may well be incorporated into a general upgrade but this will probably be the full extent of the changes — no new chips or significant software upgrades.
Don’t expect to see any new PS3 until Q4 this year.
