Touch Book is the first netbook with a detachable keyboard
March 3rd, 2009Always Innovating has launched its latest netbook which it claims to be the first netbook with a detachable keyboard. This would be a break in current trend for netbooks with innovative internals but very samey external design.
The Touch book is both a netbook and a fully functional tablet PC thanks to its detachable keyboard and 3D touchscreen user interface.
Creator Gregoire Gentil predicts that the Touch Book is a perfect device for challenging economic times, since this multi-utility netbook with best of open source software and open hardware can double as a gaming rig, a tablet PC and also as a kitchen computer or digital frame sans the detachable keyboard.
The Touch Book is the first netbook to be powered by an ARM processor and as a result boasts a large battery life of 10 to 15 hours.
Expect to see the Touch Book on sale in the early Summer.
