Very disappointed, I would have gone out and bought a full OS X tablet device on the first day of sales but I won't be buying this. Read out full coverage of the iPad launch.

Iphones don’t cost 200… Retail without an ATT contract or upgrade they are 450 and thats only the 8gb 3g version. When you get to a 32gb 3gs your cost gets to nearly 1,000. The new tablet would have to cost as much as if not more than a Macbook wich would get the price into the 1,200- 1,800 dollar range.

500-800$ for a tablet? Too much, a NetBook is more cheaper! The price should be around 300-400$

how do they expect to be sold for 500-800 for a tablet when the touch and iphone are around the same price range? either its under powered or they need to make adjustments to their similiar line up

Two of my collegues have tablet notebooks and they are so flexible, they use them for presentations, writing handwritten notes straight onto PDFs, and art work, etc etc. However I have been desperately been wanting an Apple… I can’t believe Apple has taken so long to get this tablet notebook off the ground, given that they lead the charge with touch technology. I really hope it is in the format of the swivle screen though, with the keyboard under the screen. I would be very disappointed if it arrived and was just a large iPhone, with touch pads. I really hope it has great battery life as well.

I think it’s great news about Apple Tablet and certainly it’s going to be a great offer for users and they will get benefits of it.
