Apple bumps iMac range

It’s happened. After a week of rumours Apple has done what GeekSugar predicted and spec-bumped its iMac range.

In a change to normal Apple tradition the change has come on a Monday instead of the usual Tuesday revisions.

iMacs now benefit from the following:

  • Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
  • 802.11n WiFi
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Built-in iSight cam
  • 5x USB 2.0 (including keyboard slots)
  • 1x Firewire 400

Base model

  • 20-inch monitor
  • 2.4GHz processor
  • 128MB of ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics
  • 1GB of memory
  • 250GB 7200RPM disk
  • Price: $1,199

Top end model

  • 24-inch monitor
  • 3.06GHz processor
  • 512MB of NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS graphics
  • 2GB of memory
  • 320GB 7200rpm disk
